Armor

Armor was around as long as there were battles. There were different types of armor. Ancient people had leather armor, and metal armor. They had armor in the form of scales, interlocked rings and little sheets. Mostly, only the rich could afford substantial armor, but in places like Ancient Rome, armor was given out by the state (after the Marian reforms). Medieval people had chain-mail and that progressed into knight’s armor like we think of now. Most soldiers wore minimal to no armor while high-ranking people wore more armor.
