Captain Newman MD

Captain Newman MD is a WW2 movie set in 1944 in a ward for soldiers with mental trauma like PTSD. Overall, it’s a good movie, the interesting parts are about the various patients on his floor. It’s also interesting to see how he handles them all, especially one that’s combative and even escapes! It’s interesting how it addresses the mental issues that the patients have. Dr. Newman is compassionate and sympathetic to all of his patients. At the time, people weren’t so tolerant of PTSD. There is also an appropriate holiday theme, Christmas is coming up, and that leads to new very funny antics! (Spoiler alert! It involves a 20ft Christmas tree that becomes only 15ft!)
